Imagine being the Jerry Donahue -- the guy who gets to solo AFTER John Jorgenson!
extremely underrated group
This is such a good cover!
John Jorgenson is a Monster player.
Compared to the other two, Jerry seems uninspired.
Staccato ?
Adderall
What is the name of the song?
Albert is good , but also know that John can play any style of music , e.g Gypsy Jazz , heavy metal etc. Clarinet, Sax, Piano , Mandoline , violin, what a genius.
He learned that from Albert Lee? Albert is the Tele master period amen.....
Drummer: Jesus christ can I change drum beats yet?
Rock 60s
James Bond Rock and Roll
Fabulous guitar playing here......but also let's give kudos to the drummer who kept up that shuffle on his drum kit for 13 minutes without missing a beat!
hell yes!
They might be good players but I didn't hear the tune of Orange Blossom Special in there anywhere
Because they created their version dude..... 🤦🏾♂️
The negative comments crack me up. Would love to the folks saying stupid shit post their renditions. This is absolutely brilliant. 3 masters. All with their own styles. Just insane talent.
Crazy good
Jerry so much more palatable somehow. Not puttin John down but there's zero flash. Ah, AC30s. The best amp arguably, just heavy as!
Think about the affect Albert Lee had on all these guys. Albert is DA MAN!
Absolutely.
Take the effects off and what do we have...NOT much really! Jerry J wipes the floor with that overplaying crap...
I bow down to Jerry Donahue, but Jorgenson and Will Ray are monster players. I have a CD of J Jorgenson playing like Django on one half and Benny Goodman the other half. Saw him in very small venue with his Django band,. Wow.
I want to go-go dance for you! LOL
What finger work!! where was the melody? Spotniks had melody as well as speed.
Ever magic Beth !!!
God Damn, This is Fuckin HOT! Cookin Baby!
¡Yo tengo sus tres primeros cd's! Tesoros del legado de John Jorgenson, Will Ray y Jerry Donahue, MAESTROS.
I have to say, Dudes were killing it!
Is that a MATCHLESS ON THE RIGHT??
Great job on this guys... love that little tune - what an ear worm!
Hot damn!
Yngwie who?
the "inane" drumming is the Orange Blossom Special, steaming down the railroad tracks. Probably too young to realize that.
what a great memory of my daughter in elementary school! 💕 Desiree!!
what bunch of dufus's put thumbs down.....oh ya the TP hoarders....hahahahaha
Inane drumming destroys this. Jerry Donahue is forced to compete with idiocy.
3:38 to 4:10 is just so great
As much as I like Vai, Satriani, Yngwie, et al., the Hellecasters are even more intimidating!
Shit! There I am, jogging along happily without a Les Paul. And now this.
John & Will go off in a sulk.....
Jerry just likes to let them fiddle about before the real stuff kicks in.....
that is some severely wild picking
My hand is tired from watching this.
Both of mine are tired during this COVID-19 stay home stuff, and that includes the left (I’m a righty).
Jean Luc me too bro
Yeahhhh!!
I really really dig this ❤️😎❤️
I saw the Hellecasters 4 times back in the 90s in Southern California. Their concerts take you on a journey and then bring you back again into reality when the show is over. These guys are from another planet. Just simply amazing.
STUPID!
Pretty amazing!
Great drummer. Thank for posting this
I being much drawn to the tele, and having built my own, find it remarkable that the instruments being played are so far removed from from the thing they are trying to emulate. It's perhaps just an oddity, and that the guitars are the result of personal preferences, and then the name hits me like a ton of bricks. I guess I'll just pick up my nocasters and run.
edgeofeternity101 nocasters are badass. I want an Esquire
The tele is only the platform. It was a workingman's guitar. A lot of country guys love the original. A lot of rock guys upgrade components. A rule that has been broken by Brent Mason. Springsteen and Gatton both went for blades or stacked pickups. No matter what, changes are somewhat limited, so the soul of a tele lives on somehow. Purity is for the staid. I built a Fender with Don Rich in mind and a Korean Hamer T5M with G&L MFDs. The fun is discovery.
@@tomformanek3312 These guys are so great, yet don't get a lot of exposure. I had a cool project off brand Tele, it was a rare Gretch with a very chuncky fat neck and HUGE headstock, kinda like a old Vox. It was a solidbody. It was a really quality guitar. I put a set of Bill Lawernce single coil blade pickups from Bill and Becky, and I wish I hadn't sold it, It was a really nice guitar. I seem to always have a project going on or on the back burner. We had CNC machines at work, and I could cut pickup pockets or bridge pockets, or cab faceplates. Not sure of brand, but was MIJ
My mate Dave put me onto this mob. Blokes called Dave do that sort of thing.
Jerry Donahue is what I aspire to be. Them bends man
